About

Philippa HannaThis summer saw the launch of Taste by Philippa Hanna. After receiving a whole-hearted introduction and endorsement from Grammy-Award-Winning hitmaker Eliot Kennedy at her hometown album launch, it is apparent that Philippa has the gained the attention of many key players in the world of music.

Sheffield-based Philippa bounced into the music scene in 2007 with her debut album Watching Me. The 12-track offering has been selling brilliantly since receiving critical acclaim from international digital distribution giants CDBaby who placed the album at the top of their recommended chart for the 'Contemporary Christian' genre.

Not content with just making music, Philippa’s first book 'More' came out in 2008 and was swiftly snapped up by Authentic Media for distribution. The book tells the story behind her songs and gives insight into the transformation that has taken place in her life since becoming a Christian in 2004.  Her time is also invested in working with the charity Compassion and this November she will visit some of their project centres in Haiti, one of the world’s poorest countries.

With the success of her cousins (Richard and Danny from Embrace) and her brother Stuart (bassist for Jamiroquai, Mark Ronson), Philippa has a hard act to follow however she is winning fans and making friend all over the globe.
With over 200 performances made since the launch of Watching Me, it would appear there is an increasing demand for this up-and-coming star.
